FAQ’s
Does my dog need an assessment?
Yes, we ask all prospective clients to come and bring their dog for a visit prior to commencing day care, in order to allow your dog to become comfortable with its surroundings with the owner there. So, when your dog starts day-care they are in familiar surroundings. It also gives us the opportunity to access your dog’s behaviour with other dogs. If your dog shows signs of aggression or other bad behaviours you may advised that your dog is not suitable.
Is Day-Care suitable for my dog?
Day Care is suitable for most dogs that love to play, need socialization or have environmental problems at home; such as destructive behaviour, barking issues, even separation anxiety. Any dog displaying aggression (fear, pure or other) will not be suitable for this play environment. Owners will be advised accordingly.
What vaccinations does my dog need?
All dogs must have up to date vaccinations, these include DHPP (Distempter/Hepatitis/ Parainfluenza/Parvovirus), Leptovirus and Bordatella (kennel cough). Owners will be required to submit written proof of vaccinations.
NOTE: Even in the most hygienic, well ventilated, spacious kennels the possibility of a dog acquiring Canine Cough (kennel cough) exists. Canine Cough can be acquired from any dog, whether it be your neighbours, a dog in the park or your best friends. It can even be acquired while at the vets. The vaccination does not cover every strand of kennel cough.
